Genius Isn't Easy

Van Gogh

I've been getting to see some really awesome art while I'm here. It's been one of my favorite parts, and on last thursday was one of the peaks. There was a traveling Van Gogh exhibit here in Rome and I got to go. It focused a lot on his rural works. Its crazy how much his style changed in less than ten years. Here are some of my favorites from the show:

Truly a genius.

No One Does The Skull Better

I went to a really disappointing Caravaggio exhibit today, but the couple of his paintings that were actually there were most excellent. He is a super dope artist and I love his skulls. I've never really been a fan of skull stuff, but he kills it.

The Homie Talley C

About a year back, I chronicled the work of a buddy of ours named Talley Carlston. You should check that post out here is you missed it before. I was just looking through his stuff today and I think it's time to throw up another post of his stuff. He is a really talented photographer and also happens to be living in my room while I'm over here in Rome for a few months. So just check these shots out and appreciate the talent that is the "Big Snake."

Go check out his Tumblr, S'il Vous Plait, here.

The Homie Sam Wegman

Please go spend a dollar supporting our good buddy Sam in his quest to be the next Damien Rice/Elliot Smith/John Lennon of our generation. I can remember writing songs in his basement for school retreats when we were like 15, and now his music and my artwork are on iTunes. Anyways, go check it out and hopefully you like it. Either way throw the bum a dollar for his Mad Dog tonight...

Home... For Now

I just arrived in Rome to study for 4 months. During this time, The INC! is going to be putting in work behind the scenes so that this summer we will be in a good place to make some big moves. During my time here ill be sharing some of the things I see and experience here in Rome, but for the most part I think the blog will become more of an outlet to share my inspirations, what I see that will probably eventually make it into the stitches of the clothing we here at The INC! create. There may not be a lot of explanation of what I put on here and it may be difficult to draw connections between the blog and street clothing, but just take it for what it is. For now just check out some of the photos from my first week in Rome.
