This Is The Incorporated. pt. 1

I've been wanting to get into movie-making as of late, but without a camera or the funds to buy a camera, that's pretty tough. Luckily, I can use stuff that other people have filmed and make something pretty cool out of it. I made this little movie that explains a little bit about what goes through the minds of us here at The Incorporated. Check it out, see what you think, and there will be more to come.

Summer.

So while we're waiting for the Summer weather to arrive, we're also waiting to deliver our Summer 2011 run of clothing. It's hopefully going to be a lot bigger than the past runs and hopefully will be a cohesive season's worth of legit t-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, and a tank top design. I don't want to give away anything yet, I just thought I would share that we're getting close. It's been a long time since we released anything so I'm pumped. For now, this will have to do...

Stephen Powers Is The Man

Stephen Powers is this dope artist who does a lot of sign painting. His lettering is the best in the biz and everything he does is pretty dope. His graffiti name is ESPO. He is working on this cool project called "A Love Letter To You," where his group is painting a ton of signs around Philly. Check it out here. Just thought I'd try to put you guys on.

Photography

I really like to take pictures but i a. Don't have a camera and b. Would hate lugging it around if I did. But I got this camera program on my phone that makes the shots look much cooler. Just thought I'd share a few. There are shots from Ireland, Paris and a few from Summer so far.

Inner City Internship

This Summer I've been working as an intern at Inner City Empire, a Seattle based screenprinting shop. I'm trying to learn how to screen print so ultimately we can do a lot of our stuff on our own. It's been sweet so far and I'm actually learning a lot of stuff. The other dope thing about it is that the owner runs a shop and brand called Winner's Circle, so I get to learn both about printing and about how a brand is run and operated. So far, so good and I think by the end of the summer I will have learned a lot. Here are a couple shots of what goes on around Inner City: view of the shop, the screens for Macklemore's mercy and a fish I made out of tape one day.

Life Incorporated.

My life outside of The INC! has been crazy for the last few months. Out of the country, working 2 jobs, etc... But things are slowing down now just in time for work on the brand to start going again. We're looking at doing a lot of new things, new clothing and a few other creative surprises as well. So I thought I'd try to clue everyone in on how to keep up with what's going on. Here are all the ways you can follow us and our brand:

This Is Some Mess

Fox News is one of the more ridiculous institutions in the world. Check out their story on the "controversy" of Michelle Obama inviting Common to the White House for a poetry event. Then check out his performance. See how "ghetto" and "controversial" he is. Then you can check out the performance from 2007 that they quote, cause it's pretty ill. That's all for now. (I couldn't get the imbed to work so you can just hit the link below to watch the Fox News Story.)

Custom Made

This is a pretty cool look at JBF Custom sneakers making a new Nike Blazer customized for the Jet Life movement. If you're unfamiliar, J.E.T.S. stands for Just Enjoy This Shit and is the movement of one of my favorite artists at the moment, Curren$y. I just thought it was a cool little project. I guess they are only making 5, so neither you nor I have much of a chance at getting a pair, but we can admire from the sidelines.

Here is a look at the finished product:

Who Says Art Is In A Gallery...

And not on one... This is outside of LA's MOCA gallery where they are now displaying a huge exhibit on street art. Hopefully I'm going to make it down there sometime this summer.

I Know I've Been Posting A Lot Of These Lately...

But aerosol paintings are just super sick.

A Few Of My New Designs

I'm not sure what we're going to be producing this Summer, but I've been doing a lot of designing while in Rome. Check out some of the things I've come up with. You may see these on some clothing this Summer or sometime years in the future, but enjoy them right here for now.

What If....

He actually did wear #12 for one game because they couldn't find a #23 for him. Just think about how important that number became after he wore it.

Tumblr

I'm not too sure if Tumblr is one of the better things to happen to the "creative" world recently, but I can tell you that I, like many others, am pretty into it. I don't have a page myself, or run one for The INC!, but I love to check out what other people do on their. It seems to be a way of fast blogging, not too many words or explanations, but more focused on specific images themselves. I haven't delved too deep into it but that's my view so far. Here are a few Tumblr's I've been checking out. Let me know if there are any I am missing.

OFWGKTA's Site - GOLF WANG

The Hundreds - DRAWING LINES

My Man Talley Carlston - S'IL VOUS PLAIT

Natalis Brutalia - nataliabrutalia

Terry Richardson - Terry's Diary

Check them out for some cool stuff.

Speaking Of

I have never seen this many stomped tricks in my life.

Wood Pushing

Skateboarding has always been a major love of mine. I was never good at it despite my many attempts, but I could connect some pretty major combos in Tony Hawk Pro Skater in my day. Anyways, skate culture had a lot to do with what we do here at The INC! and thus I thought I would share one of my favorite skate videos with everyone. It's an Almost video called Cheese and Crackers. 15 minutes of Daewon Song and Chris Haslem tearing apart a mini ramp. They do some amazing stuff in this video, so you guys should check it out.

The One (Of The Many)

After reading The Hundreds' blog for multiple years, I've juste been turned onto one of their site's other blogs, Meow, written by Natalia Brutalia. She is a really talented photographer as well as a total babe. I just wanted to share that I'm pretty in love with her. But, in addition, you should check out her stuff cause she does some really cool stuff. She's got her Hundreds blog, Meow, a Tumblr, and you can follow her on Twitter at @nataliabrutalia. Check her out.

Back To Business

If anyone actually follows this blog they would probably be surprised to find out that it had anything to do with a clothing company. That stems mostly from the fact that while I'm in Rome I haven't been doing a lot of concrete stuff for the brand. However, I have been designing a lot and planning for this Summer. We are looking at doing a line of shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, a snapback or two and maybe a tank-top as well. Also, we're planning on doing a promo/video lookbook that hopefully will be coming out. So as I can't get to work on production for another 2 months or so, I thought I would give you guys a look at the things that are inspiring the new designs. Take a look and get ready for this summer. Oh, and per usual, Get Incorporated.

Oh and we'll probably be trying to do a beanie or two, pulling a bit of inspiration from Tyler, The Creator of Odd Future, the new crazy but super dope rap group from Southern Cali.

You'll see...
